Overnight, they colonists awakened to a plague of biomechanical hand parasites throughout the colony's delicate terraforming machinery. Atmospheric control malfunction have put the colony's survival in jeopardy. While the weakened survivors await the arrival of remediation specialists, foolhardy technician Erza attempted to repair the blight, losing an arm in the process. Undaunted, she spliced the malicious parasite to her mangled body in hopes of finding a cure by being the first survivor to contract the technological disease.
